The following CFPs are current calls for pedagogical resources that will be published on Adaptation Today. All resources will be peer-reviewed before publication. Adaptation Today seeks to provide pedagogical resources to encourage and support the study of adaptation (e.g., syllabi, assignments, lesson plans). All submitted material will be peer-reviewed by the editors of Adaptation Today and open to moderated community feedback.
Rolling Deadlines for Pedagogical Resources
Each year will provide three review periods for pedagogical resources:
- Lesson plans: February 28
- Syllabi: May 31
- Assignments: September 30
- Blog posts: bimonthly
Submission Guidelines
We welcome any potential “What I Learned Teaching Adaptation Today” blog posts or resources by the deadlines listed above. Please label all submissions in the email’s subject line as follows: blog post content labeled as “[Last Name] Adaptation Today Blog Submission” and syllabi content labeled as “[Last Name] Adaptation Today Syllabi Submission.” If you have any questions, please contact the Adaptation Today Pedagogy Team: James Fleury (fleuryjb@wustl.edu) and Kathryn J. In addition to regularly scheduled calls for materials, Adaptation Today will publish an ongoing blog titled “What I Learned Teaching Adaptation Today.” This blog will provide the opportunity to share teaching reflections in an informal format with other adaptation educators. We ask that submissions (300-500 words) be sent by the last day of each month to be published by the end of the following month (e.g., submit a reflection by April 30 to be featured on May 31).
